What is newsworthy of this meeting of like-minded runners? The fact that Michael Nowicki is running from London to Edinburgh (over 400 miles!!!), covering a minimum of a marathon (that's over 26 miles) per day - all in aid of a Scottish charity dedicated to talking people out of committing suicide (the charity name is S.A.M.H.)
The day before he popped into the York shop, he'd covered 46 miles and he wasn't prepared to take one day's rest; put his name into your search engine and his details and amazing story appear.
Our hearts were further warmed by this solitary hero by his parting comment - "You have been the first proper runners I've spoken to so far!"
A real nice thing to hear. Please give (or anyone else doing a run for charity) a fiver, they really do deserve it (especially Micheal on his amazing journey.
