Meet our expert team

Having been here since the store opened and since having taken over as Manager of the store, I have overseen the growth of the store and my aim is to make Up and Running Cambridge the number 1 destination for runners in Cambridgeshire. I have a passion for distance running and have done a number of marathons and a few ultra marathons over the past 7 years. I may not be the fastest runner (never will be) but I run for enjoyment and hope to pass on the passion I have for the sport to customers who may be new to running and pass on my experience to runners wanting to up their distances.

I'm a full time student and have been running for a few years. I would consider myself a true running addict at this point and I'm currently working on improving my time for half marathons.I really enjoy having a job where I can spend all day talking about how much I love running with like-minded people. If you don't love running yet, come in for a chat and I'll tell you why you should!

I have only taken up running relatively recently, my previous running career being predominantly egg and spoon based. My first race was the Midnight Sun Run, a half marathon in Reykjavik which taught me many hard-learned lessons. Since Iceland most of my running has been off road and trail, because I enjoy the diversity and being close to nature. I am going to run my first ultra marathon soon and hope to follow it with many more, the ultra community is full of such dedicated and inspirational runners with an infectious enthusiasm.

After long term working in retail, now I can support my growing passion for running in my working environment. I am happy for what I have learned from my experienced colleagues, and from all the people I had my pleasure to serve. Now I am building strength for half marathons, hoping to get my place in Cambridge Half, and full marathon later in 2016. You can find me in the late evenings, exploring running routes around Fen Ditton
