The Nottingham Up & Running team aim to provide a friendly and knowledgeable service for everyone from beginners to experienced runners. Our aim is to provide the right advice and product so the customer can achieve their chosen running or fitness goals, whatever they may be.

Come in for Dartfish running gait analysis, then choose from our extensive range of running shoes from Saucony, Brooks, New Balance, Mizuno, Salomon, La Sportiva, Inov-8, Asics.

We have a great range of Mens & Womens clothing and accessories.
We stock Garmin, Polar, Timex, Soleus running and exercise watches/computers. Call in for advice on which one would be best suited for your training.
We can also offer advice on nutrition for the race you are training for.

Opposite Staples

Victoria Bus Station is but a 5 minute walk from our store.

Nottingham Train Station is a 15 minute walk - head for the Victoria Shopping Centre - we are round the back, opposite Staples and just down from the Aldi supermarket.

CAR PARKING:

On street car parking outside the shop. Pay & Display meters - £1 for half an hour.

Parking is also available on Kent Street and Rick Street (Pay & Display meters £1 for half an hour).

NB.  Customers of ours can no longer park in Staples. If they do park and walk across the road to us, they'll get a £75 ticket!

Meet our staff

 


 Rob, the Store Manager, is a regular runner with many years of training experience that he can pass on. Since then he's been hooked. His Personal Best for a half marathon is 1hr36, and his 10k time is 45 mins. Halfs and 10ks are his favourite races. He's worked in specialist sports retail for many years, with experience of fitting technical footwear & specialist training equipment - he's always happy to help you choose the right product for your training needs. Rob has also trained for many years in Martial Arts, as such he can help with stretching and conditioning.

Kev, started running to keep fit in January 2000, taking part in numerous 5k, 10k, 5 mile and Half Marathons, and many trail and fell races. He successfully completed the London Marathon in 2009. Kev still enjoys club running with the Long Eaton Running Club, preferring to run off-road and on the fells in the Peak District.

Ali has been a runner for many years, an ex-county swimmer, running was always part of the training plan. She now enjoys keeping to shorter distances and regularly goes out for 5 and 10k runs. Working part-time she has many years of experience in sports and is always happy to help you choose the right product for your training needs.

Sophie is currently in full time education whilst training to become a professional triathlete - she's on the British Triathlon development squad and have so far been fortunate enough to travel over the world in European and World championships as well as the Australian Youth Olympics. Sophie loves trying out new kit especially anything colourful and girly coupled with the newest technological innovations.

Gerard store Assistant, I am a regular runner  and have been for a number of years and works at the store part time. I run on average around 24 miles per week.My other hobbies are doing Yoga and horse riding.My objective when I run is not for a PB or anything of the sort, it is simply something I really enjoy doing to keep myself in shape while also increasing my fitness. I have only been in the retail industry for a short time, but would consider myself to be a friendly and approachable person, who has a passion for giving customers the correct advice as I am always happy to help people select the right product for their training needs

Gait Analysis

 


It's important that your running shoes fit correctly: our trained staff can help find the right shoes for you: in a short session on our treadmill they can do a video gait analysis using sophisticated Dartfish software.

"Ready, Steady, Go!" caters for women and children regardless of age, size, shape and ability. The coaches Deena Tomlinson and Cheryl Watson are Leaders in Running Fitness with UK Athletics. It is located at Bingham Leisure Centre running track.
Ladies only on Mondays at 7.30 to 8.15pm, and on Fridays at 2pm-2.45pm.
Children aged 5-8 years old on Thursdays at 6.00 to 6.45pm.
